Dance Like An Egyptian Intensive week will begin on December 5th, make sure to schedule your flight to arrive no later than the morning or midday of December 5th, you still can arrive before the 5th or stay longer than the 12th, just let us know your flight details.
Please send us your flight information in order for our tourist agency to pick you up from the Cairo international Air port and transfer you to the hotel

* December 6th Workshop by MOHAMED SHAHIN;
~ ANDAH ALIEK
Flowing & Romantic Classic Song technique & Choreography to the legendary singer Warda.
We will be working on a full Choreography & Technique breakdown. Shahin will be explaining the style and how to feel, interpret melodic and rhythms variations, facial expressions. Mohamed also will explain how to transform the lyrics into movements and how to infuse romance and love in the transitions. Will also be talking about Tarab and what Tarab is.

1- Oriental Techique & Combinations
“Drills & Isolations, hip accents & tricks in motion“
2- The Power of Saidi
Saidi Cane Long Combination, Stick work & Hip Techniques
Kareem Will be teaching 2 different topics, Plus history session with audio and video support.
3- Upper Egypt Lecture;
Lecture about the Saidi Style.
- Explanation, Introduction, Terms, definition, Habits, traditions and their effect on the dance
- The benefits of dance culture studies and how to apply the information in our dance.
* December 9th Workshop by MOHAMED SHAHIN;
~ EVERYTHING BALADI;
With Our Live Band, Shahin will be teaching an Earthy & Spicy Accordion Baladi;
We will be working on a full Choreography, technique details, as well as Theory, history, improvisation, explaining every well-known Baladi music, the difference between Baladi men and women and will be showing a video clip about Baladi, from old movies and Cairo streets.
* December 10th Workshop by SAHAR SAMARA & SHAHIN;
1- ORIENTAL MEJANSE;
SAHAR SAMAR will be teaching an Ultra-feminine yet Powerful Oriental routine with many musical and a variety of rhythms changes inside. This specific piece is perfect for recognising changes and different rhythms, which are incorporated in most standard oriental melodies.
This Choreography combines both traditional and modern movements. Sahar will explain each rhythm and its energy as well as break down the technique details.
2- ORIENTAL RHYTHMS;
Mohamed will be teaching and explaining various oriental rhythms, how to understand them, listen to them, count them, the energy of each rhythm, and how to interpret it and how to incorporate them into your dance.
Mohamed will put together a short-step competition to each rhythm and play different songs that have each of these rhythms.
* December 11th Workshop by MOHAMED SHAHIN;
~ EVERYTHING SHAABI;
BES BES, a Shaabi song from Shahin’s latest music album TAK TAKA.
Get ready to learn a very energetic and upbeat Shaabi full choreography. Shahin will be using a lot of local Egyptian women’s hand gestures. The dance is sassy, very playful, earthy, and flirty. As always, Mohamed will break down the choreography and explain the technique behind it. Mohamed will show a video clip about Shaabi and Shaabi singers and how the Shaabi songs styles developed and changed during the years.
